ACP - Art Capital Partners, in collaboration with Galleria d'Arte Maggiore g.a.m., is proud to inaugurate in the exclusive historical architectural setting of ACP - Palazzo Franchetti in Venice, a new center aimed at deepening and disseminating the Giorgio Morandi's lesson, open to scholars, professionals, curious and passionate.
The multi-year activity of study, research and promotion conducted with dedication by Galleria d'Arte Maggiore g.a.m. on the work of Giorgio Morandi, has led to the collection of a great variety of bibliographic material which now constitutes a library entirely dedicated to the great master of the Twentieth Century.
In the vast collection of documentation of the Giorgio Morandi Library there are monographs signed by personalities who have marked the life and career of the artist, rare publications edited by now historic publishing houses and some vintage volumes dedicated and signed by Giorgio Morandi himself. This constantly growing and updated collection is enriched by publications and articles in periodicals and many catalogs of the numerous exhibitions dedicated to the artist in Italy and abroad, from the beginning of his career until today.
Rising in the heart of the vast area where many of the main Venetian cultural realities are based, the Giorgio Morandi Library of ACP - Art Capital Partners boasts an exclusive space where to welcome those who want to immerse themselves in the study of this timeless artist. Located within an institutional context dedicated to the creation and promotion of exhibitions and cultural events of high prestige, the library room welcomes the visitors into spaces where it is possible to have a visual dialogue directly with the artist's work: a wide selection of etchings, drawings and watercolors by Giorgio Morandi can be admired from the reading stations, accompanying the scholars in a unique aesthetic and poetic universe. In a dedicated room, the library also houses works by contemporary artists inspired by and paying homage to Giorgio Morandi.
